5 WEC Associates were recruited as WEC members, of which 2 were from the YEC and 3 from the RCs. Also, 4 volunteers have been recruited as non-grassroots WEC Associates.

WEC Associates from the YEC and RCs were recruited as WEC Members during joint projects such as Multi-Racial Dumpling Festival Celebrations, Recycling Day, Children's Day Celebrations and through interaction at the CC while the non-grassroots WEC Associates were recruited during RC house visits and block parties with the help of CC staff and RC members.

The Young Ladies Club formed with WEC Associates has 47 members aged between 25 and 40 years old. In turn, the Young Ladies Club has 3 interest groups, the Beauty and Fashion interest group with 22 members; the Manicure & Pedicure interest group with 15 members and the Mini Spa interest group which has 10 members.

3 WEC Associates were recruited as WEC members from the RCs and 2 volunteers have been recruited as non-grassroots WEC Associates.

Tampines Changkat WEC recruited its grassroots and non-grassroots WEC Associates by organising joint activities with YEC and RCs. The joint activities include the Racial Harmony Celebrations 2008 with all the RCs, Community Service with YEC (Hair cutting, Collection of books for Uganda and massage for elderly) in December 200, January 2008 and March 2008, National Day Observance Ceremony with RCs/YEC and Lantern Festival with RCs.

In addition, Tampines Changkat WEC members attend NACLI courses together with the other grassroots leaders and took the opportunity to invite the more active WEC Associates as WEC members.

The Young Ladies Club in Tampines Changkat has 37 members aged between 17 and 40 years old. There are 4 interest groups: the Beauty and Health interest group with 10 members; the Sunday Market Plus (Community Involvement) project with 7 members; the KidsRead Club, in collaboration with Temasek Junior College with 15 members, and the Outdoor Fun interest group, in collaboration with ITE, with 5 members.
